đź’¸ Your First Payout: When It Arrives (and Why It May Take Up to 2 Weeks)

Hi there, Pros!
If you’ve completed your first jobs and you’re still waiting on that first deposit, you’re not alone. Here’s what’s actually happening behind the scenes, so you know what to expect.

⏳ There’s a 72-hour hold on completed jobs

Every job goes through a 72-hour hold before it can be paid out.

Why?

  • Gives customers a short window to flag any quality issues

  • Allows time for their payment to fully clear

Once that window passes, the job is cleared and queued for payout.

Example:

  • Job completed: Wednesday

  • 72-hour hold ends: Saturday

  • Misses Sunday cutoff → rolls to next Monday

  • Paid out: Next Monday

  • Hits bank: Tuesday–Wednesday

đź“… Payouts run once a week (Mondays)

Payments are processed every Monday.

Only jobs that cleared the 72-hour hold before that Monday will be included.

👉 What this means:

  • Jobs completed later in the week usually roll into the next Monday payout

  • It’s normal not to see everything hit at once early on

⏰ Sunday cutoff matters

There’s a weekly cutoff:

  • Sunday at 7 PM (your time zone)

Anything marked complete after that → moves to the following week’s payout

🏦 Add bank processing time

Once your payout is sent, your bank still needs time to process it. Most deposits show up within 1–2 business days, depending on your bank.

đź’ł About processing & verification

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe needs to validate the information submitted on your account before payouts are released.

That’s why it’s important to make sure:

  • Your banking details are entered correctly

  • Your personal/business info matches your bank records

If something doesn’t match, it can delay that first payout while everything gets verified.

🤔 So why does the first payment take ~2 weeks?
For your first payout, a few things stack together:

  • 72-hour hold after job completion

  • Waiting for the next Monday payout run

  • Bank processing time (usually 1–2 business days)

On top of that, tax verification can also impact timing. For new Pros, if there’s any missing or conflicting information tied to your SSN or EIN, payouts are paused until that’s resolved. This affects a decent percentage of new Pros, so keep an eye out for any emails or notifications from us asking you to confirm your details.

If your jobs were completed across different days, they may land in separate payout cycles, which can stretch things out a bit.

That’s where the ~2-week window comes from for most new Pros.

⚠️ Don’t forget your bank info

Before that first payout hits, double-check this:

Make sure you’re using one of these accepted accounts for direct deposit:

  • Valid Checking account

  • Green Dot / GoBank

  • NetSpend / Metabank

  • Chime / Bancorp

đźš« Not accepted: PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, or Savings accounts

No bank info = no payout processing, even if your jobs are ready.
