As a new Pro, your first payment will be deposited in about 2 weeks, potentially sooner.

Why does the first payment take so long?

We partner with Stripe to verify your identity with the information you provided during Pro signup. Once your account passes Stripe's identity verification, we can initiate payment during our regular Monday morning release and you'll see your payment deposited by Wednesday.

There are usually two reasons why Stripe's identity verification is delayed:

  1. For Pros registered as individuals, it's usually because they're using a nickname or name other than their full legal name attached to their ID and SSN, so it doesn't match.

  2. For Pros registered as a business, it's often because their information needs to exactly match what is on their SS4/147C for their EIN.

If we encounter an issue with Stripe identity verification we'll send you a text asking you to contact Pro Support so we can help you resolve the issue.

When do I get paid when I'm no longer a brand new Pro?

Short answer: every Wednesday.

Every Monday morning we release deposits, and processing time is on average 48 hours. We will pay out any jobs that were completed the week prior, Monday through Sunday. Keep in mind that if a federal holiday falls on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, it will delay pay by an average of 1-2 days.

What if my customer doesn't pay?

You get paid, even if we don't.

LawnStarter ensures Pros get paid reliably and on time every week, regardless of whether customers have paid. We absorb millions of dollars annually in payment failures so that burden is never passed along to you.
